Michael Frye Exhibit in Yosemite

January 15, 2013

0212-398

Out there, right now, somewhere in Yosemite, Michael Frye is composing a new photograph — or reinventing an old one.  Michael came to Yosemite some 30 years ago, and his intrepid pursuit of the next photograph has defined his relationship with the Sierra ever since, making him a part of the local mythology and park history.  To begin 2013, The Ansel Adams Gallery is thrilled to exhibit a selection of Michael’s newest work, along with a few classics to round out his three decades of dedication to his art and Yosemite.  The Gallery will hosting a reception for Michael on February, 16th from noon until 2:00PM, however if you cannot make the reception, the show will be on display from now until March 2nd.  And during your visit, keep an eye out for Michael, because there is a good chance that you will see him photographing out there, somewhere.

Happy Photographing,
Evan Russel
Curator
