11:00-12:30 Children’s Photography Walk.
Plan to spend over an hour in the field with your kids and our Staff Photographer getting creative and having fun with photography. The age limit is flexible, but a basic requirement is that the child should be able to follow directions from an instructor for an hour and be able to operate their own camera. Limited space. Signup in advance and meet at The Ansel Adams Gallery.

11:00am The Power of Protection: A Walk into History, 1 hr.
Join a Yosemite Conservancy naturalist-guide on an easy stroll to explore the stories of the people who initiated Yosemite’s protection and persevered. Meet in front of the Indian Cultural Museum. (YC)

12:00pm Lower Yosemite Falls:
Learn the History and Lend a Helping Hand, 1 hr. Take a walk to Lower Yosemite Falls with Yosemite Conservancy naturalist-guide Dan Webster. Learn about the interesting natural and cultural history of this area while cleaning up this well used location. Meet in front of the Indian Cultural Museum. (YC)

1:00pm The Times they are a Changing:
Plants, Fire and Humans in Yosemite’s Meadows, 1 hr. Walk and explore the ways in which Yosemite Valley has changed in the past 150 years and meet the people who influenced these alterations with a Yosemite Conservancy naturalist-guide. Meet in front of the Indian Cultural Museum. (YC)

Listen in on some Yosemite tales for the younger crowd. Main stage in front of the visitor center. (YC)

1:00pm Stroll with Galen Clark, Yosemite’s First Guardian Ranger, 45 min.
Take a stroll with Galen Clark (Miles Standish) who was Yosemite’s first ranger appointed in 1866. Learn about his observations on managing Yosemite Valley during the era when it was a State Park and visit the Clark gravesite in the Yosemite Cemetery. (CSP)
