JEFF CONLEY'S IMAGES
Jeffrey Conley is originally from New York State. Jeffrey received a BFA in Photographic Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1991, he moved to Yosemite National Park in California's majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. There he photographed extensively and worked for The Ansel Adams Gallery, where he led seminars in photographic instruction. Now residing on the California coast within the Monterey Peninsula, he concentrates his creative efforts on his handcrafted black and white prints. His subject matter is diverse, from urban landscapes and found still-lives to studies of pristine wilderness. In all he strives to capture and liberate a meditative spirit that he feels can be found within all things.
Each limited edition black and white print Jeffrey creates is meticulously crafted using traditional photographic processes including the darkroom technique of dodging and burning, that is, the lightening and darkening of selective areas within a print. This aesthetic variation, in conjunction with processing and printing material variances, makes each print a distinctly original creation.
Original photographs by Jeffrey Conley have been exhibited and collected in the United States and Europe. His photographs are printed on 8x10 and 11x14 photographic paper and are limited to 65 prints per title, regardless of size. Prices change in respect to the edition number, increasing in price every ten prints. These prices are subject to change.
