Ansel Adams next big draw for HydeSeptember 16, 2013
GLENS FALLS — After a hugely successful summer show of the works of one 20th century American icon, The Hyde Collection will turn to another in a show that opens early next year.
As staff members of The Hyde work with representatives of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum of Sante Fe, N.M. dismantle the “Modern Nature: Georgia O’Keeffe and Lake George,” and prepare for Oct. 13 opening of the “2013 Artists of the Mohawk-Hudson Region” exhibition, the big day on the horizon is Jan. 25, 2014, opening of “Ansel Adams: The Early Works,” which will hang in the Wood Gallery until April 20, 2014.
“Adams is a household word just as O’Keeffe was, and it should be a very strong exhibition us. This is the kind of exhibition we will be looking for from here on out,” said Hyde Director Charles Guerin…read more
